Shady Rest Mini's was established in 1999. It was originally my grandfather's dairy farm, Since then there has been a few changes. When Glenn and I bought our first mare, for our daughter's 2nd birthday. Neither of us dreamed that we would end up with 17 horses to date. It seems like with us, it's always just one more.
We are proud of our small herd. Our main herd sire is our pride and joy. Kahoka's Palomino Supreme, Since we have had Supreme, not only has he produced beautiful, arab type foals, but he has also captured many awards in the show ring including NYS high points senior stallion champion.(03') NYS high points amature and senior stallion as well as over all high points champion.(05')
Supreme along with many of our mares, are Ramundo bred. Our bloodlines also include Boogerman, Shadow Oaks, Komoko's, and Orion.
New to our breeding program is another Kahoka stallion, a three year old. Cowboy Special is his name who is another Ramundo stallion. Look for him in the show ring in 2006. We average 6-8 babies a year, Cowboy should be producing his own little heirs in 2007. All of our horses are double registered, AMHA, AMHR. |
